The 2026 US midterms delivered a historic night for Indian Americans. Pia Dandiya became the first Indian American woman ever elected to Congress from Florida. Suhas Subramanyam held Virginia's 10th. Ro Khanna and Pramila Jayapal swept their seats. But the biggest shock: Vivek Ramaswamy ? Trump's most high-profile Indian American ally ? lost the Ohio governor's race to Democrat Amy Acton, despite outspending her five to one. The Samosa Caucus lost two incumbents before election day but could emerge with six members ? younger, more progressive, and more diverse than before. Cary Johnston brings you the details on Firstpost America.
