Hello!
I am Wiebrand de Vos, 21 years old and I live in the Frisian village of Joure. Since I was eight years old, my life has largely revolved around sailing. Whether it concerns boat holidays with my parents, sailing with friends, participating in competitions or coaching the younger generation, sailing is for me the most beautiful thing there is. It doesn't matter if it's competitive or not, I always enjoy it.
But who am I really?
As mentioned above, water sports are a big part of my life. I am currently busy with an Olympic campaign for the 2028 Olympic Games in the 49er class. This means that I focus entirely on sailing the 49er, which I do full-time. In addition to my commitment at a high level, I also think it is important to teach the younger generation something. That's why I regularly get into the coach boat to give training at the weekend.
